CyclePad System Requirements
and Technical Information
CyclePad is research software that is available to interested users at no charge. The only condition for use of CyclePad is consent to the terms of the license agreement.
PLATFORM REQUIREMENTS
This software runs best under Windows 95 or Windows NT. It will also operate under Windows 3.1 or Windows for Workgroups, if you have Microsoft Win32s extensions, version 1.30 or higher. (click here for information on how to download the latest Microsoft Win32s extensions). CyclePad requires a minimum of 12MB RAM but works better with 16MB RAM or more. Although CyclePad will run on a 486 CPU, we recommend a 90Mhz Pentium or faster for satisfactory performance. A complete installation requires approximately 10MB of hard disk space.
SUPPORT INFORMATION
Because it is research software, we cannot offer extensive technical support. We will make every effort to read all email and to incorporate fixes to reported bugs into the software. However, we may not be able to respond individually to all email. We will be posting and updating a FAQ at this site in response to reported bugs once we have an idea of what the frequently asked questions are.
Because development of the CyclePad environment is ongoing, downloaded versions will expire in about a year. New versions of the software will be posted to this web site periodically, along with the date of creation. To check the date of your current version of CyclePad, start CyclePad and click on Help|About CyclePad, and a dialog box with that information will pop up.
CYCLEPAD MAILING LIST
Members of the CyclePad mailing list will receive notification of new CyclePad releases and other information relevant to the CyclePad Project. The mailing list will also enable CyclePad users to exchange information, tips, etc. If you would like to join the Cyclepad mailing list please send an email to:
